Hello and welcome to my homepage. Just humour me a second while I go through my life story.

My name is Ian Barry, and I currently work as an IT Graduate for Vodafone UK Ltd. in Newbury, Berkshire, U.K. In June 2001 I graduated with a first in MEng (hons) Computer Science with study in Continental Europe from the University of Bristol, U.K. My university dissertation was entitled "Wireless Extensions to the Knowledge Workplace" (see work section) and was conducted in association with Appliance Studio Ltd. During the 99/00 academic year I studied abroad at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France. See my CV for further information.

I live in Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K. (See Basingstoke not Boringstoke!) Although I originate from a town called Warlingham, just south of London in Surrey. I attended Whitgift School (see my pics) in the amazing town of Croydon in South London for my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and French. My interests include computers; programming, hardware (see my setup), networks and games, as well as skiing, snowboarding (see 2002 pics), cars (see F1 and Volvos), badminton and of course there's the obligatory music and beer!
